At the first Polish Teachers' Conference in New Zealand, which was held in Christchurch in mid- October 2016, modern approaches to teaching Polish language and culture were discussed.

The event was organised by the Federation of Polish Organizations in New Zealand, FPONZ. It was facilitated by an expert from ORPEG (Ośrodek Rozwoju Polskiej Edukacji za Granicą / Centre for the Development of Polish Education Abroad), Poland.
