On 5 April the 2014 Multicultural Festival took place at Tauranga's Historic Village. As in the previous year the Polish dance group appeared on stage and impressed thousands of festival goers with their colourful Krakowiak costumes.
Not only are these and similar performances a great opportunity to show off and share with the community a display of Polish traditions. They are also motivation for the children to practice singing and dancing during school term.
During the festival Polish cakes and other mouth-watering, sweet delicacies were sold at a food stall to raise funds for school supplies and other expenses that the Trust incurs. Suffice it to say that they sold like the proverbial hot cakes.
